Journey to the Gobi - part 1 of 4
Class with a Glass is hosting a series of charity paint night events with Rachael Lundin, a Leavenworth local. Rachael was selected as one of 12 people to participate in the Gobi Gallop - an annual charity ride organized by the Veloo Foundation to raise funds for children living in poverty in Mongolia. The group will ride horse for 435 miles in 10 days in the longest charity ride on the planet. Rachael's goal is to raise $3,500 by July 2022 and and 100% of your tax exempt ticket purchase will go directly to the children in need. Join us for an inspiring evening and learn about the "Gobi Gallup" and how Rachael's personal journey will impact families in that region. We will kick off the event with an open house from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, followed by an evening of relaxed creativity while learning how to paint "Journey to the Gobi" with acrylics on a 12x16 inch canvas. The Veloo Foundation’s mission is to help orphans and other similarly disadvantaged children in the developing world and in Mongolia. The Narnii Huuhduud Kindergarten (Children of the Peak) serves 150 children from impoverished families who rely on scavenging to survive. Your ticket and the funds raised from this event will go to providing these children with healthy meals, school supplies, and books for the school library.
